Summary

The Farm Labourer Supervisor will manage a group of 6-8 fulltime staff on multiple farm sites. Responsibilities include training, coaching staff, completing employee evaluations and employee discipline. He/she will develop work schedules, assign, and monitor work, implement new procedures, assist with budgets, track expenses, and monitor variances.    

Responsibilities of a Farm Labourer Supervisor also include data management of several flocks of broiler breeders in grow and lay barns: tracking feed and water consumption, body weights, lighting programs, egg production, barn and egg storage temperatures, litter and nest conditions, bird health and selection, and updating and monitoring production charts and graphs. He/she will also ensure broiler breeder operations are operating in compliance with CHEQ program. The Farm Labourer Supervisor will work as part of a team ensuring the company’s animal husbandry practices are followed as well as promote safe work practices of staff.

This is a Full Time position with some holiday and weekend work required depending on operational requirements.
